Dear Stella,
You have no idea how excited mama and papa were to find out that you were a girl! You know what's funny? Mama thought you were a boy up until the end of the first trimester. Then, mama started having dreams that you were a girl and then started hoping you were a girl! Mama and papa had your name picked out a year before they even knew mama was pregnant, and there was no boy's name that mama and papa loved as much as they loved, Stella Rose!
At your 18 week appointment, mama and papa went in for the exciting ultrasound. It was so much fun to see you moving around. You kept kicking out your legs, and it looked like you were trying to scoot up higher in mama's belly. It was really cute, because it looked like you even waved to mama and papa!
You decided you wanted to keep mama and papa in suspense a little longer, because you wouldn't move to a position where it was evident whether you were a boy or a girl. Mama and papa went in to see Dr. Kerlin and then went back in to do the ultrasound again, hoping you might have repositioned yourself. This time you decided you would reveal your identity! Mama and papa cried in excitement...again!
It was fun to tell Grumpa and Lola the news, because they day of the news was actually Grumpa's birthday, March 30th! Nana was super excited, too because she had been hoping you were a girl all along. Nana never had the experience of having girls, and she couldn't help but notice all the frilly girls' clothes every where she went even before she knew you were a girl!
You have been and still are much awaited for baby girl!
Love,
Mama & Papa
