Moving In

Friday, June 11, 2010

Dear Stella Rose,

Mama started collecting things in her room fast.  From flowers, puzzle books, games, magazines & books, to mama's computer, clothes, shower stuff and card making supplies.  It was going to be a while, so mama didn't hesitate to make herself right at home!

Thankfully, after two days mama got moved to a different room.  Bye-bye small room with no view!  Mama got wheeled over to her new room, along with a cart full of all the stuff she had amassed in just two short days.

Mama's new room was actually the same room she was in the first time she came to the hospital.  It came with all the fixin's:  a view, larger bathroom, larger man cave, dvd player again, the big rocking chair, more comfy chairs for guests, and a way more comfy bed!!

Mama didn't realize there was a difference in the beds until she laid down in the new one.  It was like a sleep number bed compared to the labor and delivery bed she was in!

Even papa agreed the bed was comfy!

You and mama were able to get much better sleep! It also helped that since you weren't getting monitored 24 hours anymore, it made it much easier for mama to get comfortable sleeping.

Papa tried to sleep in mama's hospital bed one night, too.  Any noise or movement mama would make in the night would make papa think something was wrong, so he was in and out of sleep the whole night.  He decided to opt for the couch from there on out.  The hospital bed just wasn't a good fit for 3 people and a body pillow!

Love,
Mama & Papa
