Dear Stella Rose,
Normally, mama doesn't really like surprise visitors, but today was different! After breakfast, mama received a surprise visit from papa's cousin, Holly. She brought mama a word search game, pens, a journal and some sugar free candies and Kool-aid packets. Nana told her about mama's gestational diabetes, so it was thoughtful of her to bring mama some sugar free goodies!
The rest of the day was pretty low key, which was good because mama had the worst case of heart burn that seemed to last the whole day. Mama hadn't had heart burn since the first trimester when she would eat pizza or Mexican food. Mama was hoping this wasn't the start of what would last the whole third trimester. Thankfully, it was just a fluke occurrence.
Later that evening mama received an unexpected call on her hospital phone from someone named Jenni, and she was on her way to come visit mama. She said she was just going to show up unannounced but her brother told her she ought to call first. She is the elementary director at Cross Pointe Christian Church and the wife and sister of one of the elders whom papa got to meet. It was very nice of her to come and introduce herself to mama!
Papa was already on his way back from church and was able to visit with them, too. They had such a great conversation! Jenni shared their testimony with mama and papa and it was strikingly similar to mama and papa's. It was so similar in so many ways that they joked that mama and papa would end up with four girls, since they have four boys!
Mama was very happy she came to visit, and instantly felt like they could become good friends. Now mama will at least know one familiar face when they go to the new church! Just another way God works out the small stuff!
Love,
Mama & Papa
