Dear Stella Rose,
The whole week had been gorgeous outside. The high was in the upper 70's. Perfect weather to relax outside and soak up some Vitamin D. Grumpa and Lola took mama out on a wheelchair ride before lunch, and it was perfect. It didn't even feel like the sun was burning sitting in the direct sunlight. There was a slight breeze but just warm enough to sit out there all day...if only that was allowed!
It was so nice out that they went on another wheelchair ride later in the day from 4:00 - 5:00. This time it was a little hotter out but still not even hot enough to feel like you were getting a sun burn.
Grumpa and Lola sat in the shade, while mama sat in the sun reading a book.
Aren't they the cutest?!
It was a good thing they didn't have more than an hour to stay out in the sun this time, because mama got a bit of a sunburn! Who would have thought you could get a sun burn while in the hospital on bed rest?!
